Two people were shot during a home invasion early this morning in unincorporated Glen Ellyn and are in critical condition, the DuPage County sheriff's office said.
Police were told three men entered the home in the 800 block of Busch Road about 2 a.m. and allegedly shot the occupants. Police did not disclose a motive.
In critical condition were a 20-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, police said. They were taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. A third victim, a 24-year-old man, did not require medical assistance.
Police said no description of the suspects was available.
Police said they were alerted by a 911 call from one of the victims.
"At this time we have no reason to believe that there is a threat to residents of the area," police said in a news release, adding that no other information was available.
