Miami-Dade Commission to discuss lay offs, pay cuts



Miami Media, the owner of Latin Trade magazine, LatinTrade.com and the BRAVO Business Awards, said Monday it has acquired Latin Business Chronicle, an online publication specializing in Latin American business news.


Terms were not disclosed.

Latin Business Chronicle is a subscription-based website that provides information primarily to an institutional audience: corporations, service companies and governments active in Latin American trade and investment. Subscribers include: Microsoft, Chevron, Scotiabank, Federal Express, Accenture, Maersk Line, Mastercard, MTV Networks, SAP, White & Case, Skadden, Arps and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India.

Coral Gables-based Miami Media is a subsidiary of Manhattan Media, a New York-based community media company. Both companies are chaired by Richard Burns and financed by Isis Venture Partners.
